Unit 10

Hi everyone!!
Well guess this is goodbyes! I can't believe how fast this term went by! It won't be much longer and we will all be graduating! I hope everyone does great on final exams and in their upcoming classes as well! I have enjoyed having class with each of you and hope to see you in other classes in the future! Unit 9

Hi everyone.
This week was the week to turn in our final paper. Unfortiantly I didnt get to edit and re-do as much to my paper as I would have liked to. I have had 2 deaths in my family in the past week, so school has been pushed away. I did a little editing to my paper, but really wish I could have taken more time to fix it up more and add and take away things. I hope everyone did well on their final project.

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!
I am new at blogging! I haven't done this before, until this class! I have heard of it, and I have read blogs before but it was through a different website! My mother in law actually has a blog set up, see is adopting and she has an adoption process blog that people can donate money to her process or they can sponser a child, so that is really the only one I have even seen before! I think the blog is okay, I just personally don't know how to work it that much! I am a facebooker! :) I will probably keep my blog after this class just to follow with my classmates, and hopefully in other classes other students will have blogs and I can follow them as well! Hope everyone has a great week/weekend! Not to much longer until Christmas! I know I am looking forward to a nice break! :) I hope everyone else does the same and has a WONDERFUL Holiday with their family!

Unit 7 -Peer Reviews

Hi everyone!!
I enjoy having peer reviews. Constructive criticism is a great technique to get feedback on the positive and negative things about your paper. I take constructive criticism well. I would much rather someone tell me my paper is horrible and rip it all apart then to turn it in thinking its a great paper. I don't usually have a hard time giving reviews, but sometimes I think people will think I'm being too picky. I guess its all in how you take it!

My personal Writing Process

Hey everyone!
My personal writing process consist of; research, brainstorming, freewriting and my final paper! I start off with research to get different ideas on my topic, while I am researching I brainstorm different topics I could discuss. I am writing my paper on fetal alcohol syndrome so while brainstorming I would write different things like "causes, effects, birth defects, and corrections." After I have completed my research and brainstorming I then use the technique "freewriting." I write my paper not worrying about corrections, spelling and other errors. After I have completely my freewriting, I go back add in facts to back up what I have written and make all my corrections and clean up my paper.

Unit 4

Plagiarism is something very important to understand to know how serious it can be. Plagiarism is pretty much cheating. Its giving you credit for something someone else did. I personally would get mad or upset if someone took my work without crediting me by citing or referencing. Its not fair to take credit for someones work. Always cite your quotations and exact words that you copy word for word. Even if you change the words a little you should still give the person credit for his/her own work.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

Hey everyone!The topic I chose to write my paper on is Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. I am interested in writing my paper on this topic because it is a very important problem in not only America, but in the the world that needs to be stopped. I have always had a passion for "preventing child abuse and neglect." Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is a form of abuse and neglect as well.I searched the Kaplan Library for a topic "Fetal Alcohol Syndrome." My results were: "Fetal Alcohol Syndrome."
